Your parcel needs a formal declaration
What triggers it, and what you need to send us.
Why it happens
Over CNY 2,000
Personal parcels sent into China are limited to CNY 2,000 per shipment (since 1 December 2024). Above that, the parcel is returned or must be declared as goods.
More than personal use
Several of the same item can be treated as goods even under the value limit.
Exception
A parcel holding a single indivisible item that customs accepts as personal use may clear as a personal article.
